Terms of Service

Shade Service LLC

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the website at shadeservice.com (the “Site”) and to the services, quotes, invoices, and communications provided by Shade Service LLC (“Shade Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our Site, requesting a quote, booking service, or opting in to text messages, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Services

Shade Service provides window treatment sales, installation, cleaning, and repair, including blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and exterior shading solutions, to residential and commercial customers.

Details for each job, including scope, pricing, and schedule, are set out in the quote or invoice we provide to you. If a quote or signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the quote or agreement controls for that job.

2. Quotes, Scheduling, and Payment

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment is due as stated on your invoice. We accept payment through our online client portal and other methods listed on the invoice.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Unpaid balances past due may be subject to late fees as permitted by law.

 
3. SMS / Text Messaging Terms

Program name: Shade Service LLC Text Messaging

Program description: When you provide your mobile number and agree to receive texts, Shade Service LLC may send you text messages about your service, including:

  • Appointment confirmations, reminders, and “on our way” notifications

  • Quotes, invoices, payment reminders, and receipts

  • Customer support conversations about your jobs and questions you send us

  • Promotional messages, such as special offers and seasonal announcements, only if you have separately agreed to receive marketing texts

Consent: You may opt in by providing your mobile number to us on a quote or service request form, through our client portal, over the phone, or in person, and agreeing to receive texts. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Consent to promotional messages is collected separately from consent to service-related messages.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your appointments, quotes, invoices, and conversations with us. Promotional messages, if you opt in, will typically be no more than 4 per month.

Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to messages you send and receive.

Opt out: You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further texts unless you opt in again. To opt back in, reply START.

Carriers: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: Your mobile number and text messaging opt-in information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

 
4. Use of Our Site

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, or submitting false information. Content on the Site, including text, photos, and logos, belongs to Shade Service LLC and may not be copied without our permission.

 
5. Warranties and Limitation of Liability

Any warranty on products or workmanship is described in your quote or invoice. Except as stated there or required by law, our Site and services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shade Service LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to a job will not exceed the amount you paid for that job.

 
6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

 
7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
